The Opening Ceremony for 2014 Batch MBBS International Students was held in School of Medicine on September 17, 2014. Prof. Duan, Shumin, Dean of School of Medicine, together with another 6 leaders of School of Medicine and Pro. Wang, Li, Dean of International Education College have attended the ceremony. The Opening Ceremony was chaired by Prof. Fang, Xiangming.

 

Prof. Duan, Shumin and Prof. Wang, Li, respectively on behalf of School of Medicine and International Education College, gave Welcome speech to more than 99 new international students from 31 countries as well as their family members. Prof. Xue,Jing, as a teacher’s representative, put forward her wishes and demands to the new students. Mr. Tremblay-Sher Daniel representing all senior students gave his speech on the experience as a medical student in Zhejiang University. Accompanied by a solemn school song, students who were awarded as ‘Outstanding Students for 2013-2014 Academic Year’ received award. Afterwards, all new students raised up their right hands and read the Medical Student Oath leaded by Prof. Fan, Lijie. Before the end of the ceremony, Mr. Cai, Zusen from International Education College, Mr. Zhang, Jie and Miss. Zhao, Danli from Office of International Students, School of Medicine gave an orientation to help the students to settle down and start a new life quickly in Zhejiang University.
