On March 10th, 2023, a webinar on FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination, India) and Career Planning was held for the Indian MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) students. The webinar was delivered by Indian expert Dr. Danish Salim and attracted the Indian MBBS students at The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZJU4H) and from the Hangzhou campuses.
In the opening remarks, Dr. CHEN Weiying, vice dean for International Affairs, International School of Medicine, extended her warm welcome to the students on behalf of ZJU-ISM, and spoke highly of the students’ learning practices during the Covid-19 epidemic. She called on all students to strive to become excellent doctors to save lives and heal patients. She also listened to the feedback from the participants.
Dr. Danish Salim gave a detailed introduction to FMGE and shared strategies for preparing for the exam, as well as helped the Indian students with career planning based on his own experiences. He also answered lots of questions posed by the students during the Q&A session.
The webinar was enjoyed by the participating students. “The webinar conducted by Dr. Danish was extremely useful in terms of guidance and updates on FMGE for Indians. This would have not been possible without the help and support of the International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University.” said Namitha, one Indian MBBS student who attended the event.
This month’s event is another example of the lengths that ZJU-ISM goes to in supporting its international students.
