In order to deepen the existing long-term cooperation and promote strategic cooperation, from May 12th to May 16th, ZUSM delegation visited Yale University, Brown University and University of Toronto. Members of the delegation include KE Yuehai, Associate Dean, XU Xiao, Associate Dean, YI Ping, Director of Scientific Research Office, XIE Zhijian, Associate Dean of the Affiliated Dental Hospital, JI Junfeng, Professor of School of Basic Medical Sciences, Prof. Dante Neculai and so on.
On May 13th, the delegation visited the medical laboratory, experimental animal center and other related facilities in Yale University in the United States, and held talent introduction and recruitment seminar. Prof. KE Yuehai gave a detailed introduction to the development of ZUSM and the talent introduction policy. YI Ping answered questions from the perspective of laboratory arrangement of talent introduction, scientific research initiation and follow-up development.

Brown University is one of the Ivy Leagues, the two medical schools have frequent exchanges and close cooperation. The delegation visited Brown University on May 14th again. Shankar Prasad, Vice President of International Affairs Department at Brown University, Allan R. Tunkel, Associate Dean of Medical School, and Julianne Ip, Vice President of International Affairs Department, met with the delegation. The two sides have reached a consensus on further optimizing inter-university student exchanges, conducting clinical research cooperation, organizing postdoctoral and doctors to conduct research and training in the United States. The delegation visited part of the laboratories and affiliated hospitals and interacted with teachers and students.
In order to promote the strategic cooperation between ZJU and the University of Toronto, ZUSM delegation visited the University of Toronto Medical School from May 15th to 16th again, and had a deep communication with Lynn Wilson, Associate Dean of the School of Medicine, Rita Kandel, director of the Department of Laboratorial Medicine and Pathology (LMP), Leah Cowen, director of the Department of Molecular Genetics, and Graham Collingridge, director of the Department of Physiology.
The two sides have confirmed that the Department of Experimental Medicine and Pathology of the University of Toronto and the School of Basic Medical Sciences of ZJU will further carry out scientific cooperation, teaching and administrative management through bilateral meetings. The two universities will cooperate in the "Translation Research Program" teaching and degree program, and the cooperation and exchanges between ZJU undergraduate students in the summer biomedical laboratory, and reached a consensus of promoting the next phase of strategic cooperation plan between the two universities.
KE Yuehai and XU Xiao were invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the International Organ Protection Symposium which was jointly organized by the First Affiliated Hospital and the University of Toronto. After the meeting, XU Xiao accompanied by alumnus Professor LIU Jimin visited the Liver Transplantation Department and scientific research center of the hospital under the invitation of Prof. Markus Selzner, director of the Liver Transplantation and Research Center, University of Toronto General Hospital. The two sides had a deep discussions on doctoral joint training, young physician training and scientific research cooperation.

XIE Zhijian, Associate Dean of the Affiliated Dental Hospital, and FAN Lijie, director of the Science and Education Department, visited the School of Dentistry of the University of Toronto to reach an intention on supporting student exchanges, promoting cooperation in continuing education, and carrying out comprehensive scientific research cooperation
